International recognition for Kohler Sustainability Engineer
A sustainability engineer at washroom and bathroom specialists, Kohler Mira, has been selected as one of the world’s leading environmental professionals in the 2018 Environmental Leader 75 list.
Charlotte Gregory is one of 75 honourees selected from across the globe in recognition of her work to improve the environmental performance across Mira and Rada, two of Kohler’s leading brands.
The Environmental Leader 75 (EL75) is a programme run by the Environment and Energy Leaders Institute and celebrates leading practice, new thinking and achievements in environmental management.
Charlotte Gregory features on the list among other leading international professionals from companies such as Unilever, Nestle, Primark, Samsung Electronics and Philips.
Charlotte has worked with the Kohler Mira team to achieve reductions of over 50% in CO2 emissions, switched electricity supply to 100% renewables, reduced water consumption by half, and improved recycling so that only 0.6% of waste goes to landfill from Kohler Mira’s Gloucestershire sites. She also led the creation of EcoPledge, a company-wide initiative identifying sustainable savings across Kohler Mira, and is developing the new Kohler Mira sustainability strategy.
Speaking on her success Charlotte said:
“I am very honoured to receive this award, especially in light of the calibre of the group of EL75 winners. Achieving these successes has taken dedication and commitment from all of our teams in the UK and the US. The award represents true global working for a sustainable future across all Kohler brands.”
